Giovanni Vernagallo is a car body designer – he lives in Turin.

Giovanni Vernagallo was born in 1954 in Mondello, Palermo.

He graduated as a mechanical engineer at the Avogadro Institute of Turin and as a car body stylist and designer at the Birago Institute of Turin.

Giovanni Vernagallo has a consolidated experience of 40 years of work from 1970 focused on the automotive industry, during which he lived the exciting and spectacular years of the Italian motoring. The Italian style has always been the first in the world thanks to our great designers such as Pininfarina, Giugiaro, Bertone, Vignale, Michelotti, Ghia and many others.

Turin has become the world center of the Made in Italy motoring style. From the 70s Vernagallo worked at the Centro Stile GHIA (before) and Michelotti (after) where he collaborated on the design and planning of the BEACH cars such as the JOLLY (on both Fiat 500 and 600) and SHELLETTE (on a Fiat 850) which still today have a great success in the world.

The Beach cars are highly demanded and valued at the auctions of RM SOTHEBY -GOODING – BONHAMS – COYS which have great importance all around the world,held in Monaco (Principality of Monaco), Monterey (California), Paris (France) Amelia Island (Florida).

Subsequently Vernagallo has become an independent entrepreneur and founded the “CARROZZERIA HOLIDAY” where he produced many Beach version models of any type of brand and model.

Then he funds the company NAVETTA 2000 where he builds and homologates special vehicles in which the concept of transformation of cars to an “Open Body” is applied to commercial vehicles with conventional electric and thermal traction.

From 1985 to 1989 Giovanni Vernagallo acquires more experience working with various technical studies of the automotive industry working on the body and components design of the interior finishes as well as on bodies assembly for automated production lines of the most important European car manufacturers.

In 1990 he begins to work for the STOLA group of Rivoli (Turin) with skills aimed for the industrialization of projects for the production of large shells and internal components of vehicles.

An activity of conception, design and realization of transformation (customized) of open body vehicles thus expressing their natural predisposition towards this specific ( Tuning) motoring sector.

Vernagallo today is the official referent of all the Capri Taxis cooperatives for the supply of special open Cabriolet Taxis which have great success with tourists from all over the world who travel to Capri – commitment, passion,tenacity and professional excellence are qualities of Giovanni Vernagallo, recognized by major international automobile companies and private customers who rely on Vernagallo for the realization of their unique models.
